Moe Yun Gyi Resort (Ecotourism) Near Yangon
Moe Yun Gyi Inn is a Wildlife Sanctuary located in Bago Division, Myanmar with an area of 103 Square Kilometre and far about 70 miles from Yangon. Visiting to Moe Yun Gyi Inn Resort takes approximately two hours by taxi from downtown Yangon. Taxi for the day costs between $40 to $80.

The cost of the boat varies depending on the number of individuals in the party. For a single person hiring a boat it is $20 and the bird guide is $15.
There are 1,117 bird species in MoeYunGyi Wildlife Sanctuary.
A census at Moeyungyi revealed that there are 125 species of water birds including 70 species of migrants. Little Grebe, Purple Heron, Sarus Crane, Asian Open Bill, Rubby Shelduck, Purple Swamphen, Spot-Billed pelicasn, Pheasant Tailed Jacana, Black Winged Stili, Great Cormorant, etc., can be seen abundantly.
Moe Yun Gyi reservoir supports a variety of marsh plant community including water lilies, aquatic grass and reeds which sometime break free to from floating island. A few trees and shrubs grow on the banks.
